By Rania A. Razek
About the Book:
Razek hopes to promote positive images of Saudi Arabian women to the West and within the Kingdom through her book and create another bridge of communication "artistically," between the East and West. The images vary in content and places and the topics are Visions of Life, Portraiture, Abstractions, Saudi Arabian Culture and Photo Art. The book also includes experience statements as a Saudi Woman Photographer.
About the Photographer:
Rania A. Razek is a photographer who was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She has traveled back and forth between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a number of years and she continues to teach and work on various projects at the Dar Al-Hekma College, a women's private college in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She helped found the first women’s photo club in Saudi Arabia and helped lead media projects with her students in creating videos to promote public awareness of Middle–Eastern women’s interests that broadcast in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, on Al-Aan TV.
