Get Lit! Lighting With Projectors (Wed)
Level: Lighting - Intermediate
Creative lighting is all about looking for alternative lighting sources, and there’s no more versatile lighting source than the projector! From creating exciting backdrops to mimicking body paint, the projector can open up endless possibilities for your portraiture.
In this one-day workshop with lighting virtuoso, Nick Fancher, you will add a new tool to your proverbial toolbelt and get lit! With an interactive shoot and models at your disposal, you’ll be able to take creative license to realize your lighting vision under Nick’s guidance.
This workshop will cover:
- What kind of projector to use (how bright? short throw versus long throw?)
- How to create custom patterns for projection
- Using projector as backdrop.
- Using projector as “body paint”
- Balancing projector with strobe(s)
- Using projectors in combination with long exposure, multiple exposure, or shutter drag
